The University Union has been known as “the living room of the university” since we opened our doors in 1975. Centrally located on campus, we host programs and house services for education, cultural and social experiences. Our three story building offers numerous dining options, event spaces, leisurely activities, and informal lounge spaces for socializing, studying and relaxing. Campus life starts here! Amenities we offer in our building include:
- All gender restrooms
In an effort to support an inclusive campus environment, the University Union offers the following single- stall restrooms within the building:- 1st floor, near Starbucks
- 2nd floor, near the Women’s Resource Center
- 2nd floor, within Student Orgs & Leadership (during office hours)
- 3rd floor, near Delta Room
- 3rd floor, within ASI Government office (during office hours)
- Additional Single Occupancy Restrooms (SOR) and Gender Inclusive Restrooms can also be found in other buildings throughout campus.
- Lounge spaces
We offer a variety of indoor and outdoor seating for socializing, relaxing, eating, studying and informal gathering. Enjoy the outdoors on the building’s East walkway, which features plenty of tables and seating in the shade. The Union’s Serna Plaza is also a great place to relax on the grass, soak up some sun, relax or study. The Union’s second and third floors also feature a variety of tables and counters that are suitable for individuals, or groups as large as six people. There’s also plenty of casual seating and electrical outlets. - ATM machines
We offer Bank of America and Golden One ATMs, located just outside the West entrance of the building. - Bottle refilling stations
- Computer and print stations
Computer and print stations can be found on the 1st floor, near Info Desk, and on the 2nd floor. - Mobile device charging lockers
Charging lockers for your mobile devices and laptops are available throughout the building and are free to use. Keypad locks with user generated codes provide safe and secure charging for laptops, tablets, and phones, with the ability to charge just about any device. We also offer mobile chargers to go, found on the 1st floor near Jamba Juice. - Mothers Room
Two Mother’s Rooms are located within the University Union:
1st floor, near Starbucks
3rd floor, near the South elevator
Both locations are private spaces where lactating mothers are welcome to pump or nurse. The 1st floor location is equipped with a comfortable chair, small sofa, small table, sink, mirror, changing table and electrical outlets. The 3rd floor location is equipped with a comfortable chair, table, changing table and electrical outlets. Nursing mothers may check out a key from The University Union’s Information Desk. Photo ID will be required.
