Sacramento State faculty, staff, and emeritus members are eligible for an Affiliate Membership at The WELL. Whether you’re looking to stay active, try something new, or connect with the campus community, an Affiliate Membership gives you access to a variety of recreation and wellness opportunities.
Membership Benefits
Affiliate Membership includes access to The WELL and a variety of amenities and programs, including:
- Group fitness classes at no additional cost
- Climbing Wall with complimentary gear rental
- Locker rooms and showers
- Intramural Sports for an additional fee
- Additional recreation and wellness programs and services
Affiliate Membership Options
- Monthly Recurring Membership — $35/month
Membership dues are billed monthly and require a minimum commitment of 4 months. - Pay-in-Full Membership
Pay your membership dues upfront with a credit or debit card. Your membership expires at the end of the purchased term.- One Month: $45
- Two Months: $90
Sponsoring a Household Member
Affiliate members may sponsor one additional member age 18 or older who shares the same residence. This may include a spouse, adult child, roommate, or other eligible household member.
Proof of shared residence is required and must be provided through an official document, such as a utility bill, bank statement, or lease. Documentation must be printed or officially generated; handwritten documents are not accepted.
Once enrolled, sponsored members may access The WELL without the sponsoring Affiliate member present. Sponsored memberships are dependent on the Affiliate member maintaining an active WELL membership. If the Affiliate member cancels their membership, the sponsored membership cannot continue.

- For recurring sponsored memberships, the Affiliate member’s and sponsored member’s monthly dues must be drafted from one bank account.
- Pay-in-Full Membership
- Pay membership dues upfront with a credit or debit card. The membership expires at the end of the purchased term.
- One Month: $49
- Two Months: $98
Graduation Was Just the Beginning
Stay connected to Sacramento State and keep The WELL part of your wellness routine. Sac State alumni can access The WELL at an affordable rate by maintaining an active membership with the Sacramento State Alumni Association.
Because The WELL is not open to the general community, an active Alumni Association membership is required to establish your affiliation with Sacramento State.
How to Join
Step 1: Join the Alumni Association
Before purchasing a WELL Alumni Membership, you must become an active member of the Sacramento State Alumni Association.
Alumni Association memberships may be activated online or in person at the Harper Alumni Center.
Once your Alumni Association membership is active, visit The WELL Engagement Center or Front Desk and provide your Alumni Association card or confirmation email.
Step 2: Choose Your WELL Membership
Alumni Membership Options
- Monthly Recurring Membership
- Membership dues are billed monthly and require a minimum commitment of 4 months.
- Alumni — $35/month: Available to alumni with an active Alumni Association membership.
- Recent Graduate — $20/month: Available to alumni who graduated within the past two years and have an active Alumni Association membership.
- Pre-Paid Alumni — $16/month: Available to eligible alumni who attended Sacramento State between Fall 2006 and Summer 2010. Verification is required.
- Pay-in-Full Membership
- Pay your membership dues upfront with a credit or debit card. Your membership expires at the end of the purchased term.
- One Month: $45
- Two Months: $90
Eligible alumni who attended Sacramento State between Fall 2006 and Summer 2010 may qualify for the Pre-Paid Alumni rate of $16/month. Verification is required.
Sponsoring a Household Member

At this time, WELL memberships are not available to non-affiliated community members.
Affiliate WELL Monthly Recurring members are eligible to cancel their membership after 4 months. Cancellations require a 30-day notice through our online form. Adjustments will not be made after the 26th of the month for the following month.
Once you’ve selected your membership option, visit The WELL Engagement Center or Front Desk to complete your purchase.
All membership transactions are completed in person. A valid credit or debit card is required to enroll in a Monthly Recurring Membership.
WELL Memberships do not include campus parking. Members who plan to park on campus must purchase parking separately through UTAPS or use the PayByPhone app for available daily parking options.
We also encourage sustainable transportation options when possible, including biking, scooters, SACRT light rail, and carpooling.
Refunds are only authorized in the case of a medical necessity (must be supported by a doctor’s note) or a death in the family (documentation required). The method of refund will occur in the same payment type as the original transaction. If cash refund exceeds $50.00 or exceeds the amount of cash tendered in Point of Sale (POS) for the day of refund, then the customer will receive a check by mail.
